About the Client

TAURON Customer Service is a company within the TAURON Group. The Group’s core business is the sale of electricity to individual customers, small and medium-sized enterprises, business clients, and institutions. The TAURON Customer Service Business Unit provides IT, telecommunications, HR and payroll, financial and accounting services, as well as external customer service.

Challenge

  • Conducting a detailed audit of QA processes in the organization,
  • Structuring the knowledge of workshop participants,
  • Broadening the perspective on the testing process in the context of the company’s overall operations,
  • Improving communication with internal clients and external suppliers,
  • Reducing the excessive time spent on code reviews

Process

We took a closer look at the work of the company’s testers, who possess extensive knowledge about the systems and applications. During several meetings, we familiarized ourselves with the specifics of their work and the challenges they face daily. Based on this, and with joint engagement from both sides, we created a dedicated training project. To facilitate their daily tasks, improve communication with the Business, and streamline processes, we conducted a series of 10 training sessions in the areas of: Test process lifecycle, Communication between testers and the Business, Creating test scenarios, Acceptance testing, Requirements management.

Results

All trainings within the project were conducted by Patryk Ostrowski, our trainer with 14 years of experience in training and software testing. Thanks to his hands-on knowledge gained in the professional field, his trainings were enriched with case studies and best practices used in the industry. Under Patryk Ostrowski’s guidance, 70 project participants were able to deepen their understanding of software testing. The participants’ engagement and desire to expand their knowledge were so great that the project is continuing and being extended into further QA areas.
